Medical alerts and client notes can now be deleted in the Instinctive Notes for iOS. Deletions will be processed against the patient record and update on all devices with access to Instinctive Notes.

It is now possible to add extended text notations against many of the pick list options in Instinctive Notes for iOS. These text notations are stored with the selected option and displayed in the SOAP note history. Where appropriate additional text will be copied from previous notes, either directly or with smart copy.

For referrals and products, the additional notations will be available for viewing by reception staff in Instinctive Notes for Web.
To remove complexity from our list selections the setting of favourites for pick lists has now been moved to the Settings area in Instinctive Notes for iOS. Tap the “More” tab and then your name to access settings. Items that are set as favourites will continue to be sorted to the top of the specified list, and a smaller heart will show next to the item.
To make setting review weeks for plan schedules clearer, a new review icon is now used. A capital “R” instead of a star. Select the “R” to indicate that the specified week should be a review week.
Cliniko medical alerts now sync in both directions with Instinctive Notes.
A medical alert created in Cliniko will sync to Instinctive Notes during overnight processing and then will be available in the Instinctive Notes iOS app and the Instinctive Notes Web app. Changes and deletions will likewise be sync’d overnight.
Creation, updates and deletion of medical alerts will likewise be sent to Cliniko. Changes are sent immediately after the record has been altered.
This process will allow reception staff who primarily work in Cliniko, and do not use the Instinctive Notes Web app, to see the medical alerts that a Practitioner has set or updated for their patients.
This feature is only available to Instinctive Notes Premium subscribers. More information on premium is on our Web site.
Cliniko businesses are now more clearly mapped to Instinctive Notes locations.
This fixes a bug where a change of address for a Cliniko business would cause a new Instinctive Notes location to be created.
From now on Cliniko businesses will be formally linked to Instinctive Notes locations so if the details on a business are changed they will automatically be changed in Instinctive Notes as well.
Naming for locations that are sync’d from Cliniko is now clearer as well.
Cliniko now has database sharding, where data shard may independently be held in a different location from other shards.
Instinctive Notes now understands and processing Cliniko shards. If there’s ever a requirement to update your Cliniko API key with Instinctive Notes then it will be fully supported.
Simply add the full Cliniko API key into Instinctive Notes, including the shard at the end.
Medical alerts and client notes can now be deleted from the Instinctive Notes Web app.
Once deleted they will no longer appear.
The next version of Instinctive Notes for iOS will also process any deletions made on the Web and remove them automatically from the iOS app.
Schedule records, with their associated plan and actual counts, are now created for wellness schedules.
The records are created for the number of weeks out from the consultation that the plan is set. When you record a note for a patient consultation it will also be recorded on the schedule.
This allows a complete view of a patient’s history in terms of planned consultation and actual attendance. The details are displayed on a patients schedule tab in Instinctive Notes web.

You are now able to request a reset password from within the Instinctive Notes Web interface. There are multiple options to start the reset.

The Instinctive Notes Web Sign In screen has a link to reset your password
Passwords can be reset by Administrators and Owners in the settings area for any Practitioners or Assistants in your practice.
Where you request a password reset yourself an email will be sent with a password reset link. Click the link and chose your new password. The link will remain active for one hour, after that a new link will be re-sent.
From this point on the Instinctive Notes support team will no longer be able to reset passwords for you.
Instinctive Notes Web now has a session time out. If your browser remains idle for 1 hour you will be signed out of Instinctive Notes and will have to sign in again.
This substantially improves security of your data if you happen to access Instinctive Notes on a PC which is not your own.
To make sure you don’t have to continually sign in after every hour of idle time you are now able to set an option during sign in which will keep you signed in for 1 month. Simply check the “Keep me signed in on this computer” option during sign in.
Know as “Reset sessions” this option will sign you out of all your devices, both the Instinctive Notes App and Instinctive Notes Web. The option can be accessed under the “My Profile” link in Instinctive Notes Web to sign out of your own devices.
If you are an Administrator or Owner then you can sign out of all devices for any of your Practitioners or Assistants.
These options are particularly useful if you lose a device or a team member leaves your Practice.

We have changed our billing provider to Stripe. This provides a set of in the background improvements to Instinctive Notes.
The major benefit is that you get much more information on the invoices you receive, including:
Details of the plan you are on, including number of locations and practitioners
Clear display of the GCT calculated and applied to the invoice
An attached PDF invoice to make your record keeping easier
The next time you update your credit card in Instinctive Notes you will be moved across to Stripe. Your billing date will change and a refund of any amount on the old billing provided will be returned to you.
For a key set of fields you can now view the last set of details recorded regardless of how long ago you recorded them. You can optionally copy the last set of details into the current note.

This means that no matter how many consultations have passed between the last time any of these items was recorded you can review the data right inside your SOAP note and optionally copy it as a starting point for recording your current note.
For instance being able to start with a list of test results that you have previously performed will substantially improve the accuracy and completeness of your objective diagnosis for your patients and provide a much better understanding of how your patient is responding to your treatments.
A new “Results” tab has been added to the test results screen which will contain all the currently recorded test results. It’s a clear and concise summary of the recorded results and means you no longer have to hunt through the list of possible tests to see which tests have been recorded. Faster review and editing for practitioners is the result.

Medical alerts can now be added or updated right inside the SOAP note.
On the Subjective tab there is a new exclamation button at the top right of the screen. The button will show red when there are medical alerts assigned to a patient.
Tap the button to add or update medical alerts at any time during your SOAP note recording.
Instinctive Notes now supports iOS Dark Mode, which was added to iOS and iPadOS 13. If your device is set to dark mode Instinctive Notes will now display in dark mode.
Infrastructure has been upgraded to improve performance and security of the entire Instinctive Notes service.
Connections between Instinctive Notes components have been upgraded with additional security features to more thoroughly protect all stored data.
Instinctive Notes account settings, accessed through the Instinctive Notes Web App, now clearly show all available settings to all users, and who in your practice has the ability to change particular settings.
Settings have been split between Admin and Owner levels to more easily make available less important settings to associate users or reception staff.
Improved features:
Medical alerts are now prominently shown at the top of the client SOAP history screen and the client notes screen. A red bar will show across the top of the screen, including all the text for all recorded medical alerts. It’s impossible to miss.
The medical alert indicator “!” on the appointments list is now tappable to see the full list of medical alerts for that client. Now when you are reviewing your day you can see all patients you are seeing who have medical alerts and quickly tap them to see what the alerts are. You’ll always be prepared to treat your patients understanding exactly where additional care and attention is required.
Now you can record technique failures for the adjustments you have performed. Where appropriate the technique list now has failure modes for many of the adjustment styles.
Additionally, techniques are captured in the order that you record them, if you apply a technique and it fails, then you apply it successfully, the failure will be recorded before the success and you can the sequence you took to deliver the appropriate adjustments.
Techniques can now be cleared with a tap of the “Clear All” button.
Appointments for the next two weeks are available for each patient, tap “Appointments” next to the Schedule section of the Plan Treatment page.
The reminder to enter the “Overall Rating” had now been removed.
Only information recorded in the Instinctive Clinical Note is now sent to Cliniko and Nookal.
The note detail is more concise and understandable.
Headings and fields where no information has been recorded are removed.
Current clients can now be renamed to have the same name as a previously deleted client without causing a crash.
